because I still love blogging.

To say that I've missed blogging lately would be an understatement. I've really missed it. Mostly because I've missed my friends. You know who you are! I've missed you. For those of you who read my last post about going back to school and left me a note of encouragement, thank you. Really. You totally warm my heart.

And here's an update on what's going on with me school-wise: I've almost completed the admissions process for DeVry University and will be starting an online class there next month. I'm excited! I finally heard back from the UCO advisor and discovered that, according to UCO, I'm just 4 classes away from graduation. That's it. four. However, it will not be an easy process by any means. I'm not going to kill myself, or miss out on my kiddos, trying to finish that degree immediately. I'm working on getting some stuff together so I can find out exactly what I need to do and how for UCO and then, we'll see. It may not be this summer, fall, or even this year, but it'll happen. I'm hoping that I can get things worked out with UCO to finish that soon, but if it doesn't happen immediately, it'll be okay. In the mean time, I can work on this new degree through DeVry that I'm really excited about. I decided on a degree in Business Administration with a specialization in Project Management. I really think that's right up my alley and will be great for my career. And it being 100% online means that I won't miss out on my kids. Super important to me.

I'm not sure how much time I'll have for blogging and stuff when I start classes, but I do know that I'm not going to be able to just quit altogether. This blog has always been and always will be an outpouring of me. Every time I've tried to turn it into something more or something different, it's failed and I've burned out.

The past couple months I've been having some blogging conversations with my awesome friend Ashley about what I want for my blog and what I don't want for my blog. If you're expecting regular posting on a consistent basis... don't. If you're expecting a new blog every day of the week... don't. If you're expecting posts straight from my heart about what I like, don't like, can't get enough of and can't stand... that's what you're going to get. If you're expecting posts on DIYS, recipes, fostering, and things that I'm doing or thinking... that's it. And if you're expecting me to use the blogging world as a way to keep in touch with some of you that I've never met but feel such a connection to... absolutely, I am.

Because some of you I would consider friends, even if we've never met. And because I still love blogging, even if I am the most inconsistent blogger ever.

  4. Yay for the school thing progressing. Isn't weird how blogging integrates itself into your life? As much as I enjoy breaks from it at the same time I still go through the day thinking "I wonder what Regina did lately?" Or "I wonder if so-and-so ever....."
