Sharing some things that I really love this week :
I love my awesome friend Kassy. We met at church camp when I was a counselor and she was a camper. But we became great friends and even were co-counselors at camp. Such fun, amazing, wonderful memories with this girl! I love that even though we barely keep up to date on the daily happenings in each other's lives, we're always there to pray for each other, offer encouragement, and (like yesterday) talk about some of our frustrations within our Christian walk, and challenge each other to change things. She's a big inspiration to me, and her zeal for God is contagious.
I love my friend Amanda! And this pretty girl had a birthday this week and I sent her a letter and a special box of fall goodies, Christmas presents, and birthday presents all at once. ;) I love that Amanda and I have stayed so close even though Joey drug me all the way to Texas!! Haha. And I love that we write each other constantly. There may be a lag in delivery, but there's always a new letter to look forward to writing or reading!
I love my sweet friend Ashley. Seriously, one of the sweetest people I've ever met. I love getting comments, tweets, texts from her, and I love that technology lets us stay connected! And BONUS, she made me a pretty sweet offer that I'm excited about! ;) haha!
With work being so crazy, I haven't had a lot of "me time". I've had to sacrifice my Saturdays the passed couple of weeks to go grocery shopping. Which, granted, is like a vacation because I've gone by myself, but you know, sometimes a girl just wants to curl up on the couch with a bowl of popcorn and watch a good movie. Wednesday night, I did just that. After church, when the kids were in bed, I thought about working some more, but I changed my mind, made some popcorn, and watched This Means War. It's not riveting, it's not some mind-blowing display of cinema and screen-writing. But it is entertaining. Very entertaining. It was funny, there wasn't a lot of bad language (some, but not a lot), it was a cute, feel-good, I'd definitely watch it again kind of movie. I'm looking forward to watching it again soon. ♥
I love self-manicures! Don't get me wrong, going to get a mani-pedi? Nothing like it! But with us trying to save money for our vacation this year, and with me on a very strict time budget (2 kids will do that to you), I stick with doing my own nails. And I don't mind, I really enjoy it actually!
For this manicure, I did a super pale pink polish (OPI Hopelessly in Love) and then a painted the tips with a lovely sparkly silver (it has a bit of gold in there too) (Loreal 605 Sparklicious). Don't use washi tape to help define your tips. I tried that and it makes the pink come off a bit, and when you pull the tape off, you lift the glitter a bit too much. Free-handing would be better. But do that a couple times, then cover everything in a top coat and voila!

I love that there's a really good possibility that we'll get to keep McCrae. Nothing definite yet, but it's looking really good for us!!
I love that BB has a birthday party this weekend! Even though I didn't prepare as much as I should, I still think it will be fine. And I really hope he loves his new tricycle we got him!
I love wearing my boots!
And seriously, are you following me on IG.... ?
I love a bowl of hot chow mein on a cold day. Just like Granny used to make it...
And speaking of food...
I love my new daily snack! A bottle of EcoDrink and some Veggie Straws. Delicious and healthy! YAY!
I love that I've worked out more this week. I've been doing desk push-ups, wall-sits, and planking while I've been working. It's helped, I hate having to sit in my chair all day. And I've actually been sore from these exercises so I know I'm at least working some muscles. It's a good feeling, and I plan to keep it up. Bringing out a whole new me in 2013! Stitch THAT on your pillow! ;) haha!
What do you love this week??
