2012 : the highlight reel

Hi y'all! I know we're a full week already into the new year, but I still wanted to do a recap post of 2012, because it really was a fantastic year!

Some of the highlights from 2012 :

I debuted my 12 in 2012 project which, even with my short-comings, I thought was successful. I ended the year with things done that I wanted, I learned more about myself, I grew as a person/wife/mom, I focused more on my family, and I ended the year a better person that who I was when I started. And that always makes for a successful year.

I shared my struggle with PCOS and how infertility is a constant battle.

I took pictures of one of my favorite girls who graduated from high school in 2012.

I went to Higher Ground for the first time!

BB turned ONE.

Joey did his first speech at a graduation.

We had our first VBS here at Hillside. (Not the first VBS for Hillside, but the first time for us to do VBS at Hillside.)

We said goodbye to friends who moved away.

We got McCrae.

We went to court for BB and parental rights were terminated. (Still waiting on the appeal to be denied or upheld. Everyone says it will be denied, but you just never know until it's actually done.)

We bought Joey a new car!

We drove to Oklahoma in February to surprise my grandfather for his 80th birthday party! What an awesome memory!!

We made new friends!

I went to my first big university football game. Texas Tech vs. West Virgina. Best. Game. Ever!

We turned 27.

A sweet friend of mine got married and asked me to be a bridesmaid!

I tried out a lot more DIYs and had lots of successes! I shared various ones on the blog, go ahead, go check them out! ;)

I had one of the best times ever with some very dear friends in OKC!

I cut off about 10 inches of hair!

We celebrated our one year anniversary in Plains!

We celebrated our 6th wedding anniversary!

I (solo) taught my first Ladies' Class and (I think) it was a success.

We got to know new friends and old friends better, enjoyed time with family, and lived full, happy lives.

I think it was a fantastic year! And I'm so looking forward to what 2013 has in store!
