I love love { Part 3 } ♥

Hi y'all! Check it out, Live Delightfully got itself a little makeover. Just thought I'd do some tweaking last night as I've been wanting to freshen up the blog a bit. Plus with picnik closing in a couple of months, I need to get all my graphic designing in before then because after that, I'm not really sure what I'm going to do. I'm deeply bummed about that whole thing. I know it's not going away completely, but it's not going to be the same picnik that we all know and love. [insert sobbing here]

Okay, enough sobbing. I've definitely got some strict deadlines on myself though, due to picnik closing. I'm hoping to get all of my supplies photographed and edited as well as making several calendars for church. It can be done.

But right now, let's take a break from all that and get all mushy, gushy with that thing called love:

I've always been a fan of love notes. And love journals. I loved leaving (and sending) love notes to the guys I dated and I've even made Joey a love journal that I started writing in when we first got together and wrote in throughout our first couple years of marriage.
I've often reminded Joey that I love getting love notes back from him, but lately, I haven't had to remind him. He's been doing it all on his own:

Some love notes that Joey's been leaving on my desk. He's done one nearly every morning for the past week or so and I love it. It's fun to get them and see what romantic and usually cheesy thing he has to say. See that smiley face? That's an egg and bacon smiley face because I'm the eggs to his bacon. ;) Romantically cheesy goodness! :)

Anyway, as it is the season of love (regardless of how you feel about Valentine's Day, it's still the season of love) why not take a minute to leave your hubby a little note. Or, your kiddo! Or if you have neither of those, send one to your mom, your best friend, someone you admire, your neighbor, your grandmother, it really could be anyone you'd like. Honestly, it doesn't take that long. If it's for a roomie or hubby, you can even leave one on the bathroom mirror:

A love note I wrote to Joey on his side of the mirror. You can use post-its, which do clean up easier. ;)

Or, you can get fancy and use any of these:

Something cute and sweet, would be great for the kiddo's lunchbox.

A message in a doxie? Seriously?!? How adorable is this?

Ooohhhh... I love the typography of this one!

I love the non-traditional colors.

Simple and sweet. Love that!

You crack open the egg to get the love note. I love it!!!

Super cute! These would be great to fill up with things you love about someone and give to them in a basket of goodies.

I love these for the boy/man because not everything lovey dovey has to be pink and girly.

Love this typography. This would be great to send to a friend as a little pick-me-up.

It really doesn't take much time at all... less than a minute in most cases to write out a short, simple, sweet note to let someone know that you care about them and you were thinking about them. Take some time today to let someone know, you won't regret it.

Happy Tuesday and Happy Season of Love. Instead of griping about the Valentine's Day vomit at Wal-Mart, embrace the season as a great time to express your love to those important to you.

How do you feel about love notes?
