I'm not supposed to be here. Right now, I'm supposed to be in Panhandle, TX, at Joey's parents', spending the night with the before getting up tomorrow and going to Oklahoma for the week to visit my family.
But I'm not. I'm at home. Something came up and we aren't going to Oklahoma after all. I'm bummed. Plus, that chest cold I went to the doctor for on Thursday is absolutely kicking my tail. I upped my meds today, hoping that knocks this stuff out. At this point, I've slept on the couch so much this weekend there's a Regina-shaped indention in the cushions. That's another bummer.
But you know what? As much as this Christmas is not turning out how envisioned, it's okay. I'm thankful for all the people in my life, for all my blessings, for everything. I can still find the merry in this Christmas.
I still have the week off, so I'm going to take advantage of this time to work on organizing some things around the house, paint and decorate Joey's office (his anniversary present) and work on some things for my online shops. :)
It'll be totally fun! It'll be a great week!
So even though I'm going to miss out on the merriment of being with family, I'll find my merry elsewhere. And it will be wonderful to spend a free week with just my boys.
Speaking of boys... we did a mini photo shoot with Jude yesterday (Jude, being BB. We're calling him Jude now most of the time.) and here's one of of the pics. Of course, I can't show you his face. But hopefully one day!
I hope you had a wonderful Christmas. And if something didn't work out the way you wanted it to, I hope you find your merry anyway.
Merry Christmas and God Bless!
