Do you ever have too many ideas, too many projects, too many thoughts and it feels like you're going to explode?!? That's kinda how I've been feeling lately and it's also how I felt this morning when I woke up. It's why I've been delaying my usual 'thursday thoughtfuls'. I feel like I have so much to say, but it's all scrambled and not worth actually saying yet. Today I could really use about 5 of me to work on various things. There's just so many things I want to do. One of those things is curling up with some coffee and a good book.
It's been rainy here the passed couple of days and THAT is the perfect weather for the book/coffee combination. Maybe I should live in Oregon or Washington? I love the rain. I know it can be depressing at times... I lived in OKC several years ago when we had 30+ straight days of rain. I know that I was getting pretty sick of the rain at that point. But that's because there was too much rain. I love rain in Texas because you're always so grateful for it. It's (usually) so hot and then you wake up and it's cloudy. Then you hear the soft rumbling of thunder in the distance. A few drops start falling, and then a full-blown shower. It's wonderfully refreshing. Then you don't want it to stop because you know the aftermath of a summer storm in Texas is hot, sticky humidity. Blegh!
Fortunately, it's not like that now. With fall approaching, we've got lovely soft rain, followed by cool temps. It's magical. And in honor of this soft, grey, magical, lovely, rainy weather we're experiencing right now, here's some wonderful "rainy" quotes. Enjoy!
Rainy Days and Mondays don't always get me down...
It's true... I really do. But I like people who smile in general.
This brings back some wonderful memories. "The Sound of Music" is one of my favorite movies!
I love this quote! I am one that feels the rain.
And now, a little musical accompaniment by Mr. Josh Groban. He's definitely my celebrity crush. I'd really love to go to a concert of his one day and meet him. Just the thought of it gets me all jittery!
Okay, now I need to get going. Off to a junior high football game!
