Weekly Wishlist Fall Series - The Final Touches

It's been fun, going through these Fall-themed Weekly Wishlists with you. I started out with the Perfect Fall Outfit, then I discovered an assortment of absolutely stunning Fall Decor Pillows, next I played around with the thought of Fall Flower Arrangements where I fell completely in love with yarn wreaths, then I needed something to decorate YOU so I brought you Fall Jewelry, and what is fall without the Perfect Pumpkin Decor? Project ADD

Do you ever have that problem where you start on a project, only to remember that you need to work on another project? So you move to the next project and remember you were suppose to do something else with your time. But in the back of your mind, your responsibilities (i.e. work, children, laundry, cooking, cleaning, errands, etc.) are lurking reminding you that you were suppose to take care of them first. Then you get so torn in different directions that you literally feel as if your brain is going to explode and you're just exhausted...

Yeah... me too. This is what I call Project Attention Defecit Disorder or Project ADD. Right now, even as I'm writing this, I'm thinking about all the things I should be doing, could be doing or would be doing if I wasn't writing this. ARGH! Sometimes, I even feel like I'm crazy. Like my brain is on some hyperactive over drive and the people in the command center are plastered to the wall because of the force of the over drive and no one can reach the big red button that stops the over drive. Anyone else?

Here's a little look-see into some of the things I've been doing. Mind you, this does not include working, keeping house, cooking, or anything like that; This is just the "side" projects. :)

After the "copright infringement fiasco", I've been busy sketching out new designs and ideas for Children's Mobiles. Two that are currently in the works are the Birds and Clouds which can actually be found HERE in my shop, and the Woodland Dreams which is the owl mobile sketched below...

It's all very exciting. I just wish I could get some other projects wrapped up so I could focus more intently on this particular project.

I did however, clean my work table off in my office. Before it was cluttered with beads, wires, and all things jewelry crafting. Now it is clean except for only my mobile-making supplies. I love cleanliness. :)

We finally bought the cribs last weekend! It took two trips to Lubbock and borrowing the church van but we got them home! YAY! This is the one I've put together... the other one, as you can see, is still in the box. That will have to wait until tomorrow or Friday. But isn't it LOVELY! I just love the brick cherry finish against the creamy, pale yellow walls. Delightfully lovely! :)

We're also busy getting the rest of our home Children-Ready. Which means taking out all of these (which belong to the old alarm system)

I'm quite the handy-woman. Really. I know my way around a drill set, hammer and screwdriver. Just don't ask me the proper name for saws because that is a test I quickly fail. ;)

I also have this box of stuff (plus more else where) that I need to get photographed and added to my shop. And I have more things to make... It never ends...

I have also sketched out a few animals trying to figure out the proper nursery decor. Later (when I find the time), I'll do some paintings for the nursery based on these sketchings. I do have a few more animals I'd like to sketch out first. PLUS, at some point, hopefully my friend (who makes baby clothes and accessories) will make a blanket using these sketches for patterns. EXCITING!!

And then of course there's other things I'd like to work on to add to my shop. Like these lovely bib necklaces that I've sketched out. I will have to wait to make these though, I'm not buying anymore supplies until I have sold either mobiles or jewelry. :)

Oh My Supplies!!

I have opened up a new shop! It's called Vivat Regina Supplies and of course, it has lots of supplies in it. I'm guessing that it will mostly have beads since that is the supply that I personally have a lot of. But from time to time, it may have more variety.

Because Boobies Matter...

When I first joined Etsy over a year ago, Treasuries were a big deal. I wouldn't go so far to say they were the diamond ring in the Cracker Jack box, but they were definitely something to plan for (sometimes staying up until 2 in the morning trying to get one), something to sacrifice for, something to celebrate upon grabbing... it was a great thing to snag one. It was exciting. It was fun. Then Treasury East came along, and with its arrival, the excitment departed. Now anyone and everyone could get a Treasury and you could make 10 a day if you wanted. So I lost interest.

But now, for the first time in a long time, I'm excited about Treasuries again. Why? Because one of the teams aka groups I'm in on Etsy is having a Treasury Challenge. So tonight, for the first time in a long time, I made a Treasury. And I'm excited about it. So excited in fact that I wanted to come straight away to blog about it and show you all my lovely. :) According to the TeamEPE Treasury Challenge Guidelines, I had to use so many members from TeamEPE AND I had to tag it with certain tags.

I called mine "Because Boobies Matter..." because to me, losing my breasts would be a horrifying experience. I would feel like less of a woman, and I know many women who are experiencing that and that's exactly how they feel. I know, people tell them and would tell me that at least I'm alive and at least I'm cancer free and at least there's something the doctors can do so I can see my children grow up... but really, in my core, I would feel so different, such a loss and the only reason is because really, when you get down to the heart of the matter, boobies matter. They aren't just lumps of flesh or "extra baggage". They are part of me, part of you. They are what are children lay against when they are little. They are what nourish our children when they are nursing. They matter. And in my opinion, let's not just work to raise awareness so we can save lives, let's save the boobies too. :)

Because Boobies Matter...

Weekly Wishlist Fall Series - Perfect Pumpkins!

Ha! I bet you thought I had forgotten again didn't you? Or maybe you forgot yourself that I was going to post two Weekly Wishlists this week... haha... either way, no, I didn't forget. Thursday I was busy painting the NURSERY!!! YAY!!! And yes, pictures will come soon... :) Friday I was out running around, getting groceries, making a payment on the layaway for the cribs, having a nice evening with the Hubsy... you know, business as usual. LOL. This morning, my blogger wasn't working, and this afternoon THE football game was on [OU vs. TX for those of you who care... haha] so this is my first chance to post. But I'm here... and the blog must go on... :)

So, I love pumpkins. I've loved pumpkins from the time I was little and Granny would let me draw faces or scenes or whatever I wanted all over our pumpkins. We weren't allowed to carve them since that was wasteful, but I got very creative at drawing faces on my pumpkins. I also loved the pumpkin that turned into a stage coach in Cinderella. I was always sad when the pumpkin was smashed and ran over by the horses after midnight...

Anyway, I've been browsing around Etsy and I've found some absolutely GORGEOUS pumpkins. They would be perfect for decorating the inside and outside of my home. I hope you like them too... Enjoy!
