The weather is cool and I love it!

Today I kept hearing a slight rustling sound next to my desk while working. After a little investigating, I discovered the culprit -- little Topher. Topher is the smaller of the two cats we have. She's the little girl and has learned to find little hidey holes to hide from the dog. haha.
These pictures show a few things: 1) I desperately need to clean my office/studio workspace, 2) the weather must be cooler now because my cats are finding vents to sleep by and 3) I sleep the same way as my cats - on my stomach with one arm jutted out and one arm tucked in. HAHA! Happy Friday ya'll!

Flag football

This passed Sunday evening, instead of our usual devotional for the Youth Group we split into teams and played a little flag football! We had two teams of four and even though we had to make a halftime potty break (we definitely underestimated how the cold weather and running would affect our bladders...), we still got to play quite a bit and the game ended in a tie. We really weren't expecting such a COLD front to move in so quickly. We were thinking it was going to be just a lovely fall game but thanks to that crazy west Texas weather, we were Fa-REEZ-ing. But it was still a lot of fun.
All of us huddled up after the game for warmth and a picture.
Joey (far left) and the boys. I guess the other boys were busy and couldn't come play... :(
Me (center) and the girls. Love them! :)

Custom Order - For Jordan

Here you go Jordan! If this is what you wanted, let me know and I'll gift wrap them and ship them off right away! :D Sorry, I didn't take the time to edit them so some aren't rotated yet.

Weekend Wishlist - I Need More Time!!!

Oh my gosh! I just realized that I haven't done my weekly Weekend Wishlist or Team feature Tuesday blogs! Plus, I'm behind on homework (big surprise), I've got the Youth Halloween Party coming up this weekend and I haven't bought a THING for it yet, I've got the art show coming up next Friday and I'm DEFINITELY not ready for that.... oh geez, and I'm feeling rundown and just not on my a-game right now. Great. >.>

BUT, have no fear, I'm hear, I'm still alive (although right now I look more like death warmed over) and I've still got a Weekend Wishlist blog ready. Inspired by my lack of time to get everything done... haha. Here you go:

Definitely, a VERY cool ring.

A pretty painting, I really like the muted colors.

I also like the colors of this one. I wish it were a real clock so I could hang it in my office/studio. :)

What a great necklace!?!?! Just fabulous!

A very whimsical clock. It makes me think of A Series of Misfortunate Events.

CIRCLE-Y CLOCK

I like the black and white photo. I just wonder where it was photographed...

Okay, I'll figure out the Team Feature and get to work on that later today. Hope you enjoyed this.

Weekend Wishlist - Whimsical Woodland Wonderland

Boy, do I ever love alliteration. ;) lol. Alrighty, well this weekend has been a lot more quiet and more uneventful than last weekend (no rushing and weekend travelling, for me at least). I'm definitely looking forward to having my husband come home, but I'm glad he had lots of fun attending the OU/TX game in Dallas. Alright, well without anymore digressions.... here is this weekend's Weekend Wishlist. Enjoy!

A gorgeous pair of acorn earrings.

And perhaps match those earrings with this lovely shirt.

A fun and lively piece of art!

What a fun gift for newlyweds or for an engagement party or even anniversary!

I'm such a sucker for handmade soaps and candles. This soap is GORGEOUS and would be a wonderful gift for that special guy.

And for the finale, this super cute wallet/ipod holder.

Team Feature Tuesday (on Thursday) - The Pig And The Peacock

Many apologies for my Team Feature Tuesday not happening until Thursday evening. Being gone last weekend has thrown off my schedule and I had to go to the doctor yesterday due to illness, BUT I'm up and running (well walking at least) so here we go. :D
This week the Team Feature comes from my TeamETC, YAY! You can search for items from other team members by typing "teametsytx" in your search box. And the Team Feature is....... THE PIG AND THE PEACOCK!

I have to say, what really caught my eye when I was searching for a new feature was The Pig and the Peacock's HALLOWEEN SOAP! How wonderful would it be to have all these fun soaps so pass out at your Halloween bash?!? I think it would be AWESOME! So, let's kick things off....

Halloween isn't Halloween without pumpkins and spiders!

PUMPKIN SOAP

Or how about some creepy tombstone soap? Ooohhhh.... that's a little scary!

I LOVE this one, it may be my absolute favorite Halloween soap of all times!

How funny! My nieces and nephews should have NO problem lathering up with these awesome ghosts!

But maybe you aren't in to Halloween that much. Perhaps you want something for yourself, not for you friends or kids.... Try these on for smell....

I know this would be a great soap to use in the morning to give the perfect start to your day!

Or maybe you need some White Tea and Ginger soap to wind down your day...

Alright, I hope you enjoyed that! All of the pictures come directly from The Pig and the Peacock's etsy shop so do stop by for a visit!

Weekend Wishlist - Get Down and Polka!

My, my, my what a weekend! Today and yesterday was my "Student Holiday" from Texas Tech so I was able to go visit my family for the weekend which was REALLY nice! I haven't been back home to visit since LAST CHRISTMAS, which for anyone who knows me knows that that is a long time. I had such a wonderful time, except for being sick. Thank you sinuses, allergies, colds, whatever it is that is bringing me down.

Unfortunately, because of my long weekend and being back home (in the boonies) I only had very limited internet access and wasn't able to complete my weekend blog. So, here it is, two days late, bringing you many apologies and... POLKA. I hope you enjoy... :)

I love this baby set in brown and blue! So darling! Now if only I had a baby to go with it, haha!

A very cute little sketch book. Perfect for never losing those brilliant ideas!

I'd love to re-decorate my office with polka dot accented pieces. Lovely!

And if what a wonderful way to keep my supplies, brushes, paints, threads, EVERYTHING organized!

And now for the finale, I LOVE this dress! I think it's smart and sophisticated and flirty and just the PERFECT dress. :D

Team Feature Tuesday - anycards

Hi everyone! Well it's Tuesday which means yay for no classes today (at least for me), and which also means it's time for another Team Feature Tuesday. Today I'll be featuring the shop.... anycards. Anycards is an Etsy shop from my lovely TeamCAC (Christian Artists and Crafters) and she does AMAZING WORK! This feature was a little more difficult than the last one because anycards does a variety of different items and it's hard to pick some favorites. But I think I compiled a wonderful assortment and I hope you enjoy the 2nd edition of Team Feature Tuesday!

A gorgeous autumn frame, perfect for adding a sophisticated fall look to your home or office.

A very cute keepsake box. I'm strongly considering buying a couple of these for Christmas Presents this year. I think they would be perfect!

A lovely candle holder! I really would love to have this when I redecorate my dining room in a more country home motif.

The perfect gift for someone who needs a better place to keep their jewelry (rather than keeping it on the bathroom window sill, on top of a jewelry chest, scattered around in the kitchen and throughout the house... I wonder if my husband ever reads these...).

I think these would be perfect to include when I ship an item to a customer. I just may have to order these...

And my personal favorite of favorites... I would love to have several of these to keep track of my jewelry making supplies, photos, greeting cards, etc. PERFECT!

Alrighty, that was a fun post, I hope you enjoyed it. Thank you anycards for making such wonderful items!
